Merge dimensions on row
“Merge dimensions on row” is a new view mode for reports. The previous view mode, which of course remains, shows several dimensions on row in each column, while the new view mode merges them into one column, making the dimensions appear to belong to a composite hierarchy. The film below shows an example. An advantage of the new view mode is that some types of reports will be more attractive, more compact and easier to use (show/hide underlying).
Level formatting/style templates in analysis reports
This function was released in 9.0 in the planning module but is now also available for reports in the analysis module. The movie below shows an example of how the feature makes it easier to create beautiful reports.
This feature allows you to create smart selections that make the report easier to use. The video below shows an example.
Detail input in planning
The detail input mode provides a new way of looking at and entering numbers into input sheets in the planning and project modules. It is extra useful in the type of configurations that previously had several additional dimensions. The user enters line by line and selects how the number should be tagged against one or more code parts/dimensions. The usual input mode is of course still present and the user can switch between the two modes. The video below shows some examples.
Simplified high level input
INSIGHT 9.1 has new features to enable easy entry of numbers and periodisations at higher levels in row dimensions. The video below shows examples where sales are automatically distributed to accounts and product groups based on, for example, the previous year’s results. The behavior is activated and can be controlled by a consultant.

See previous years’ periodisation distributions in the dialog
The periodisation dialogue has been extended with a function to show comparative values, eg the previous year’s budget or the previous year’s outcome. The user selects if and which comparison values should be displayed. The image below shows an example where the user receives support from the previous year’s budget distribution in the distribution of the 2018 budget. The comparison values have also often been available in the past, but the user then had to close the periodisation dialog and look in the support columns in the input sheet.
